Ravi was having a record day in the stock market. Too bad he forgot one important number — Maya.
Ravi (typing fast): “Tata Motors breakout confirmed. Volume spike... This is it.”

It was 8:53 AM. The market opened. Ravi hadn’t blinked in five minutes. Six screens glowed in front of him. A message from Maya popped up: “Don’t forget lunch today at 2. Promise?” He didn’t see it.
Maya (texting again at 1:15 PM): “I’m leaving work early. See you at Café Cinnamon?”

Ravi was locked into a mid-day F&O trade. Ravi (whispering): “Come on… green candle… hold.” His phone buzzed five times. He didn’t flinch.
“Traders don’t live by the clock. But girlfriends do.”
Ravi (3:25 PM): “Done. ₹7,000 profit today!” He leaned back, victorious — until he finally picked up his phone. Missed calls: Maya (6)
Unread texts: 12
Maya (last message): “You forgot again. I waited. I’m tired, Ravi.”

She had left the café already. On her way out, she bumped into someone at the gym entrance.
Arjun, a charming fitness instructor, smiled at her. “Long day?” Maya (sighing): “The longest.”
That evening, Ravi sent five voice notes. She didn’t reply.
Her new WhatsApp story: a smoothie and sneakers. In the background? Arjun’s gym logo.
Caption: Sometimes, in chasing profit, we lose the most valuable share of all — someone’s time.
